The role youll contribute:
Supervises staff and department activities that provide service to all patients. Responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness and utilization of the procedural area, personnel and equipment. Maintains a smooth and cost effective patient flow. Serves as administrative liaison to patients and physicians. Accountable for tracking patient charges and maintaining various records of documentation. Responsible for oversight of inventory management and supplies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Manages time and equipment effectively and works as a team member to provide the best possible care to the patient. Receives assignments, instructions, and guidance from Manager or Director and is compliant with special requests as situations dictate.
- Practices the principles of universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies on a continual basis. Continually delivers quality diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional patient care services. Practices and enforces safety guidelines. Performs Quality Control as needed.
- Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement while understanding the department performance trends and established standards. Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on teams as assigned. Participates in department and patient satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate.
- Keeps Manager or Director informed and seeks assistance and direction from appropriate individuals when confronted with unfamiliar procedures and techniques, before implementing them, to ensure deliverance of safe and effective patient care. Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient care. Maintains a professional relationship with all customers.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
- Previous coordinator or supervisory experience
- 3 years of experience in one of the following clinical areas: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (cost centers 3001-053700, 3002-053700, 3003-053700, 3006-053700, 3007-053700, 3008-053700, 3009-053700) OR EKG 3 (cost center 30000-3001-053100),OR Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Physiology (cost centers 3002-053202,3001-053200, , 3009-053200) OR Diagnostic / Procedural Cardiology Nursing
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (cost centers: 3001-053700, 3002-053700, 3003-053700, 3006-053700, 3007-053700, 3008-053700, 3009- current valid Adult Echocardiography certification as: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) PLUS one additional current valid registry certification in either pediatric echocardiography OR vascular ultrasound
- Pediatric Echocardiography Registered Pediatric Technologist (RDCS, PE), OR Registered Vascular Sonographer (RCCS)
- Vascular Ultrasound Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), OR Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
- Diagnostic Sonographer Credentialing accepted from: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- EKG 3 (cost center 30000-3001-053100 must possess current Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) from Cardiac Credentialing International, OR Current, valid State of Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Current, valid State of Florida license as a Paramedic
- Exercise Physiologist (cost centers 3002-053202,3001-053200) do not require any additional certification, licensure, or registry besides BLS
- Registered Nurse Current, valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse (RN), AND Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
