Description:

SR MANAGER, STRATEGIC FINANCE OPERATIONS

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager of Strategic Finance Operations plays a key role in driving operational excellence across the Finance organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this high-visibility role will support enterprise initiatives by improving internal processes, managing project execution, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial fluency and a natural curiosity to understand how the business operates, with the ability to dive deep into internal processes and proactively identify opportunities for improvement - particularly in core areas like Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a thought partner to the CFO in translating high-level strategy into executable plans, with a focus on accountability and operational excellence.

Proactively identify and clear operational bottlenecks across the Finance organization, helping teams move faster and more efficiently without requiring direction.

Take the initiative to remove tasks from the CFOs plate - anticipating needs, triaging issues, and following through independently.

Lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives by proactively identifying and addressing emerging opportunities and challenges, including root cause analysis of departmental issues and facilitating team collaboration for effective problem-solving.

Drive execution of transformation efforts, supporting post-acquisition integration, system improvements, and functional alignment across departments.

Track and measure performance indicators for finance initiatives, surfacing risks and recommending course corrections as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

You are an Experienced Pioneer: You have 5+ years of experience in finance, consulting, and/or investment banking, within a fast-pace, high-growth environment with extensive exposure to executive-level audiences. Experience with private equity and M&A, including integration of acquired businesses with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders is a plus.

You are Financially Fluent: You have a strong working knowledge of finance and accounting, and are confident interpreting, analyzing, and building financial models and tools in Excel.

You are Agile: You have a proven track record in project management and demonstrated the ability to manage complex, high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders through large scale initiatives.

You are a Lifelong Learner: A minimum of a bachelors degree in business, finance, or a related field is required. Experience with BI tools or project management software is a plus.

COMPENSATION

A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus.

To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter, preferably in MS Word format, to Derek Bush - dbush@harvardsearch.com. A fully detailed, formal specification will be sent to top-level, qualified candidates.
