RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Responsible for supervising and performing assigned activities and functions related to tax accounting, compliance, and reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the sales tax and property tax functions for the system, assisting in the preparation of Forms 1120 and 990, assisting in the calculation of annual income tax provisions (in accordance with ASC 740), assisting controllers in the maintenance and reconciliation of tax related general ledger accounts, and participating in special projects related to issues such as tax-exempt bond financing, sales and property tax-exemptions, payroll tax, and the creation and maintenance of electronic records.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, or business-related field is required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of work experience in a Tax Accounting role. Must possess an understanding of the role of a Tax Department within a centralized Accounting function, as well as across the Healthcare System as a whole.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree of Accountancy or Taxation preferred; Experience with OneSource and/or GoSystems tax software; CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
