The Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services (DPWES) seeks a Business Intelligence and Technology Lead (Management Analyst III) to oversee business process tracking, evaluation, and improvement initiatives within the Solid Waste Management Program (SWMP). This position plays a critical role in implementing technology solutions, managing vendor relationships, and leading data-driven decision-making efforts that enhance operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have experience in business process optimization, performance metrics, IT project management, and change management to support SWMP's operational and administrative functions.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area.

The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

Ability to sit, stand while using computers during most of the daily working hours. Ability to walk, negotiate or traverse property sites that may be undergoing construction or having terrain that is not level. Must be able to lift/slide up to 25 pounds with assistance. - Independently designs, develops, and coordinates ongoing department programs and special projects;
- Performs a wide range of professional-level management work for more than one broad administrative function including complex analysis and diverse project management in a lead capacity;
