1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)

Objective:
The finance Manager is responsible for advising on how to increase profit through prudent financial practices, monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
This role will be responsible for coordinating the AR, AP, TAX, Internal control processes and documenting financial analysis projects. Key contact for the internal and external auditors. Works under minimal supervision.

2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

Main Function Responsibilities:

A) Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, assessing the financial health of the company.
B) Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
C) Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
D) Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company's finances.
E) Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts.
F) Supervise the internal control process.
G) Supervise the collection process with a team of 4 AR assistants (credit management, reporting, actions to reduce the past dues), lead the credit committee.
H) Supervise the accounts payable transactions with the support of the Shared Service Center in Mexico.
Develop the procedures to streamline the day to day work. Monitor the KPI's.
I) Performs other duties & special projects as assigned by management.
J) Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate skills & requirements

3. Qualification Requirements

A. Education & Qualification-
Bachelor degree in Accounting or related business major with significant financial accounting coursework required, MBA or Master's degree in finance or accounting preferred.

B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
Requires 6 years of experience in finance or accounting position preferably in a manufacturing environment.

C. Professional Skills-
Must have knowledge of finance, accounting and budgeting, in accordance with GAAP. Need to know IFRS.
Must have knowledge of manufacturing general accounting.
Must have ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Must be experienced in analyzing and interpreting complex data, including modeling.
Must have a strong understanding of financial operations, Cash collection and internal control principles.
Must have knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
Must be able to use spreadsheet software and other office products.
Must be proficient with accounting softwares; MAPICS, M3, and/or other mainstream accounting/ERP systems/
Must have participated to an ERP implementation (SAP, Oracle, M3,...)
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
Demonstrate the management of several teams/
Ability to read and review written communication.

D. Behavioral Skills-
Position requires high level of customer focus and frequent internal customer contact.
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills to create a sense of buy-in among team members.
Capable of synthesizing information and recommending solutions.
