MBK Senior Living is hiring a National Director of Facilities Management to join our team at our Home Office in Irvine, CA!
This role will be hybrid with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.
Job Summary: The National Director of Facilities Management will provide strategic and operational leadership for the environmental services functions across MBK Senior Living communities nationwide. This role is responsible for ensuring all physical assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency, while supporting onsite teams in the areas of housekeeping, maintenance, fire and life safety, and overall environmental services. The Director will oversee preventive maintenance programs, lead quality assurance initiatives, support capital planning and project execution, and serve as a key resource for community-based facilities leaders. This position requires a hands-on, solutions-oriented leader with deep industry knowledge and a strong commitment to operational excellence in a multi-site senior living environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Indirectly overs and assist all Community Directors and Directors of Environmental Services
- Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time to various communities and Home Office meetings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Corporate oversight of environmental services at each community, including, but not limited to, housekeeping, laundry, landscaping, physical plant, fire and life safety and security systems
- Conduct regular inspections of all physical assets to ensure preventive maintenance is being performed and meets company standards. Provide support services to each community to troubleshoot repairs before they become a capital upgrade request.
- Perform routine quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and legal requirements governing the communities and all company policies and procedures
- Maintain the communities in a safe and secure environment for all associates, residents, guests and visitors
- Serve as a resource for community level Directors of Environmental Services and Directors of Housekeeping, providing on-boarding, instruction, coaching, recruitment, and selection as needed.
- Lead any remediation and restoration efforts to ensure any damage to the community (e.g., water, smoke or other environmental conditions) is quickly resolved and restored to original condition, including resident units.
- Establish national accounts with preferred vendors to reduce expenses for each community as it relates to Environmental Services
- Manage and track community work order requests, preventive maintenance and regulatory compliance using TELS building management system and Direct Supply Ordering System (DSSI).
- Participate in the preparation of long-range capital planning for each community, which includes routine and non-routine capital upgrades.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance systems for capital projects, including site visits to communities to ensure quality products/services are being provided.
- Manage the preparation of preventative maintenance plans for each community that includes HVAC, boilers, chillers, roofs, plumbing, water source heat pumps, fan coil units, interior and exterior finishes/coatings, renovations, unit upgrades, housekeeping, etc.
- Update DES policy and procedure manual
- Perform other related duties as assigned Frequent multi-state travel required.
Education Requirements:
- Four-year degree from an accredited college preferred.
Experience Requirements (in years):
- A minimum of 10 years in Facility Management experience required.
- A minimum of 5 years' Senior Living industry related experience preferred.
Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications:
- Microsoft Suite competency.
- Facilities Design and Management Certificate preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work with all levels of an organization.
- Must be self-motivated and customer focused.
- Outstanding oral and written communication in English required.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office software programs and TELS Software.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling and repetitive motion.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Able to move intermittently throughout the workday and between divisions.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and push up to 20lbs. as necessary.
- Some travel required.
Pay: $140,000-$160,000/annually
