Job Description
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with 2-3 years of field service experience and a strong experience in SCADA, controls, and automation startup. This hands-on position requires excellent troubleshooting skills, proactive learning attitude, and good organization and communication skills. Being bilingual is a plus.
Responsibilities
You will be an independent contributor on a small Field Service team within a company that specializes in SCADA equipment for Electrical Utilities and Transit companies. The role offers the opportunity to travel around the country, interact with a variety of customers, and work autonomously. All travel expenses will be fully reimbursed, though you will need to use your own credit card initially. Travel is primarily on the east coast of the US and some to the Midwest, with occasional travel to other parts of the US and North/Central America.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in SPRINGFIELD,NJ.

Job Description
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with 2-3 years of field service experience and a strong experience in SCADA, controls, and automation startup. This hands-on position requires excellent troubleshooting skills, proactive learning attitude, and good organization and communication skills. Being bilingual is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Travel domestically and potentially internationally as required.
- Update customer documentation based on field activities.
- Work in a Help Desk capacity within the Customer Service Department when not traveling.
- Participate in the integration, loading, configuration, and testing of SCADA, networking, and communication hardware and software.
- Work with customers to help startup, configure, and cutover new equipment/systems.
- Perform training in formal and ad hoc environments as required.
- Write documentation such as Test Plans/Procedures, User Manuals, and How to Guides.
- 2-3 years of field service experience.
- Experience with SCADA, controls, and automation startup.
- Strong equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Discipline to follow procedures in an ISO9001:2008 registered company.
- Ability to travel 15-20% within North America.
- Decisive and able to make decisions under pressure.
- Good customer service attitude and skills.
- Networking experience with LAN, routers, bridges, switches, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.
- Hands-on experience with communication technologies like Lease Line, Radio (154/900 MHZ), Spread Spectrum, cable, and Internet.
- Experience with PC hardware such as NIC, video cards, modems, serial and parallel ports.
- Proficiency with PC application software like Microsoft suite, ACAD, graphic software, SQL/ODBC.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as OpenVMS and Microsoft Windows.
- Fluent understanding of electrical/electronic schematics and interconnection diagrams.
- Industry experience in Utility Power, Municipal, Coop., IOU (Investor Owned Utility), Transportation PLC, SCADA, and DCS.
- Hands-on experience with test instruments (meters, scopes, analyzers, debuggers, simulators).
