Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with other members of Apollo Corporate Communications team to develop and implement strategic, proactive media plans and tactics to support corporate and divisional business, marketing and awareness objectives.
- Drafting press releases, briefing notes, talking points, internal and external content.
- Performing a variety of research duties, including media monitoring, reporter backgrounders, conference/events vetting.
- Following, distributing and analyzing real-time media coverage around announcements and ongoing firm news.
- Planning and helping to execute both internal and external speaking engagements on behalf of senior executives.
- Supporting the team's work on media engagement, developing story ideas, and issues monitoring.
- Ad-hoc projects, as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial, transactional and corporate communications. Prior experience in a fast-paced professional services environment is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, willingness and desire to learn.
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual, who thrives in a dynamic work environment, able to respond quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong project management skills.
- Skilled in distilling/synthesizing information in a succinct and uniform manner.
- Strong attention to detail when composing and proofing materials.
- Have a track-record of establishing, building and managing meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.
- Understanding of AI, including how it could best be used by communications teams.
- Demonstrates poise, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality in all matters.
- Proven ability to consistently make sound judgments.
