We are currently seeking an EHS Manager to join our dynamic team.

Important Note: This position requires candidates to be stationed on-site at construction projects for the full duration of each assignment, which may be located anywhere within the United States. While this role is based in Arizona, the candidate must be willing and able to travel and remain on-site for extended periods as project needs arise.

The EHS Manager will oversee and implement comprehensive safety and environmental compliance programs. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, ensuring adherence to OSHA and other regulatory standards, and developing site-specific safety plans. The EHS Manager will also lead safety training sessions, conduct audits and inspections, and proactively address any safety concerns to maintain a zero-incident environment. This role requires regular collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure operations are performed safely and sustainably while promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability across the project team. The ideal candidate will be highly comfortable with technology, as this position involves using communication-intensive systems. Essential Skills:

Policy and Program Development:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the construction industry.
  • Ensure alignment of EHS initiatives with organizational objectives and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations specific to construction sites.

Training and Development:
  • Organize, conduct, and oversee safety training programs for construction workers and staff, educating them on necessary safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed to address the evolving needs of construction environments.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Regularly assess construction site environments, equipment, and practices for compliance and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including emergency response plans tailored to construction-related incidents

Incident Management:
  • Investigate and document any workplace accidents, near-misses, or other incidents on construction sites.
  • Collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions and reduce the recurrence of safety incidents in construction operations.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards specific to the construction industry.
  • Ensure all company operations and activities are compliant with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  • Prepare for and lead audits from regulatory agencies.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Track, analyze, and report on EHS metrics to monitor performance.
  • Make recommendations to senior management based on analysis and trends.

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with employees at all levels to promote and develop a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, vendors, and industry groups, to ensure construction projects meet all safety and environmental standards.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are a plus.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in an EHS role, with prior managerial experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and patterns.
  • Proficient in using EHS management software and tools.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 experience is REQUIRED.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.


Additional Requirements:
  • Availability to travel as necessary as projects are throughout the US


Benefits:
  • Pay is DOE: Salary range $85,000 - $115,000 per year
