The Principal of Wilson Elementary School serves as the instructional leader of the school, ensuring a safe,supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. The Principal is responsible for overseeing all aspects of school operations, including curriculum implementation, staff supervision, student achievement, and community engagement. In alignment with the vision and goals of the Lodi Public School District, the Principal fosters a culture of academic excellence, equity, and continuous improvement.
This role requires strong leadership,collaborative problem-solving, and the ability to inspire staff,students, and families. The Principal works closely with district administration, teachers, support staff, and the school community to implement effective instructional practices, utilize data to drive decision-making, and promote the social-emotional well-being of all learners.
POSITION: WILSON SCHOOL PRINCIPAL (12 MONTHS)
EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2025
QUALIFICATIONS:A New Jersey School Principal Certification. Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience. 3 years of successful supervisory or administrative experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) and ability to ensure curriculum alignment and implementation. Strong instructional leadership skills with a focus on equity, academic rigor, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to supervise the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all school programs and activities. Experience in supervising and evaluating certificated and non-certificated staff in accordance with state and district guidelines. Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school climate that promotes student learning and well-being. Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) procedures and supports. Proficiency in the use of instructional technology to enhance teaching, learning, and school operations. Expertise in analyzing student achievement date to inform instructional practices, interventions, and school improvement planning. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the school community. Experience providing leadership to support special populations including, students with disabilities, Multilingual Learners, I&RS and 504 Students. Knowledge of special education laws and procedures, including collaboration with Child Study Teams. Ability to manage school operations, including scheduling, budgeting, safety protocols, and crisis response. SALARY:
Salary shall be in accordance with the labor agreement between the Administrators Association of Lodi and the Lodi Board of Education.
