Summary :
The Manager, Neurodiagnostics provides operational leadership for outpatient testing services, inpatient monitoring modalities, elective emergent, and intraoperative monitoring. Serves as the resource and subject matter expert for outpatient electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) testing at ThedaCare facilities. Works collaboratively with leaders to develop department/division initiatives and policies and procedures that focus on employee engagement, meeting financial/business performance objectives, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, quality, and workplace safety. Works closely with division leaders and team members to adjust methods and approaches to achieve targets and improve outcomes.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
  • Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
  • Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
  • Manages department revenue and expenses, team member and provider engagement, clinical quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day department operations and workflows that ensure team members effectively perform neurodiagnostic testing and/or monitoring.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, state and national guidelines, and standards of care.
  • Ensures appropriate charge capture work processes are established and followed.
  • Develops and performs quality assurance testing, and is responsible for compliance with the technical standards set forth by the American Society of Neurodiagnostics Technologies (ASET).
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement to deliver highest quality clinical and service outcomes.
  • Leads initiatives to work safely to prevent injuries and ensure a safe work environment.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field
  • Graduate of a two-year neurodiagnostic technology training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
  • Five years of progressive responsibility in electroneurophysical monitoring, EEG, Evoked Potentials, and Long-Term Epilepsy
  • Three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects.
  • Registered through the American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
  • Registered in Electroencephalography and/or Certified in Long Term Monitoring (R.EEGT and/or CLTM)
  • Registered as an Evoked Potential Technologist (R.EP T)
  • Certified in Neurophysiologic Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM)
  • Registered Nerve Conduction Studies Technologist (R.NCS T)


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
  • Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
  • Operating Room environment for intraoperative monitoring
  • Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
