Job Summary

As a Labor Time Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining service labor time strategy for machines and engines. This entails working with internal teams on maintaining existing labor time data, leveraging data analytics, and performing labor time studies on Cat products at Caterpillar or dealer facilities.

  • This position is located in Peoria, IL.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • This position requires up to 25% of working time travel (both domestic and international).


What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining service labor time strategy for machines and engines. This entails working with internal teams on maintaining existing labor time data, leveraging data analytics, and performing labor time studies on Cat products at Caterpillar or dealer facilities.
  • Product repair knowledge and experience is critical to ensure quality labor time data and studies. These times are used to support dealer service option quoting, improving dealer shop efficiency, and for warranty claim purposes.
  • Candidate must be able to work effectively with product groups, dealers, and customers to create and maintain accurate labor times and continually work to improve processes.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Skills):
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing or implementing dealer service related projects
  • Experience serving equipment
  • Experience working with product support service information
  • Familiarity of service data, Calculator Web, SIS, parts.cat.com, my.cat.com, OLGA and other consumers of service data
  • Strong product knowledge or machine repair experience
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency; Cat systems knowledge: SIS, HVC, EDS, Vis Mockup
  • Experience with Product Support Service information: Disassembly and Assembly manuals, Troubleshooting documents, Parts Manuals
  • Understanding of Cat engineering practices: print reading, product structure, impacts of engineering change processes
  • Cat product family knowledge

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
