Administrative Salary Group 2 - $102,735 to $159,221
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and oversight for all programs housed within the Lexington Two Innovation Center and supervises all teaching and support personnel assigned to the facility, ensuring alignment with district goals, instructional excellence, and operational effectiveness.

Education and Experience:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid South Carolina certification as a secondary principal (or the ability to obtain one) is preferred for candidates from an educational background. Additionally, An MBA or other advanced degree in business administration will be considered with a demonstrated history of success in business and industry relations, including contract development and partnership management.
Language Skills:
Written and verbal language skills necessary to positively and effectively communicate/articulate to staff: expectations for staff, appropriate curriculum content for them and effective teaching strategies. Ability to communicate/articulate student expectations. Ability to present information to the public, the State Department of Education and the school districts.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to prepare budgets and oversee school accounts.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to analyze and respond to enrollment trends and assessment data, and translate this information into effective programming.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Be knowledgeable of current research and instructional practices in work based training programs and be able to write programming and curriculum based on this knowledge. Ability to seek out and write grants that will lead to additional funding. Ability to attend meetings as requested by the school district and State Department of Education. Ability to submit reports as requested by the school district and State Department of Education within the requested period. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students and members of the community. Ability to operate a personal computer.
Physical Demands:
The ability to travel to private industry and other related work sites to assess the needs of the community with regard to proper programming at the Innovation Center.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as the administrative head of the school and maintains responsibility for coordination of the total resources of the school including personnel, finances, and the facility
- Facilitates the required advisory council and sub-committee meetings for CTE
- Oversees the expansion of dual enrollment with local colleges/universities
- Prioritizes cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with local businesses, industries, and higher education institutions to create work-based learning opportunities, apprenticeships, and internships for students
- Collaborates with regional workforce development facilitators to ensure Lexington District Two is actively represented in regional and local workforce and post-secondary education initiatives
- Provides leadership and innovation to the overall instructional program of the career center
- Executes program evaluations on an ongoing basis
- Oversees the recruitment, selection, orientation, assignment, transfer, and/or dismissal of staff
- Collaborates with high school principals to enhance College and Career Readiness rates among high school students in Lexington District Two
- Collaborates with all stakeholders to boost student enrollment and retention at the Innovation Center
- Works with the assigned Work-Based Learning Coordinator to increase the quality and quantity of work-based learning opportunities for students
- Leads and oversees budget management, including local, district, state, and federal Career and Technical Education funding sources
- Prepares and submits all required reports to the State Department of Education, ensuring career center programs comply with state audit standards and align with district goals
- Collaborates closely with the Director of CTE to develop and improve programs
- Conducts frequent and meaningful classroom observations, providing follow-up feedback and support to teachers
- Confers with students and, as required, with parents, regarding achievement, growth, discipline, extra-curricular activities, and other matters believed to be related to the success of the students
- Supervises student activities and student transportation
- Makes recommendations concerning school equipment and facilities that will enhance the programmatic offerings
- Maintains equipment inventory and supervises all collection of monies and bookkeeping records
- Engages the surrounding community organizations as valuable partners in the educational process
- Ensures that all policies of the Board of Trustees and adherence to all local, state, and federal requirements are met
- Fosters a professional and supportive environment that upholds high personal and professional standards, enhancing the school's reputation and the education profession
- Consults with teachers, students, parents, and other parts of the school community on a regular planned basis in order to attain a high level of communication and collaboration
- Collaborates and implements professional development that promotes the achievement of school and district goals
- Assists administrators, counselors, and teachers in selection and utilization of teaching strategies designed to prepare students for participation in high-wage, highskill occupations involving workplace readiness skills, work ethic, attitude, or additional post-secondary education
- Collaborates with industry and education partners to develop competency-based training programs and articulated career pathways integrating school, work, and life skills
