The Senior Manager Supplier Quality has responsibility to ensure Purchasing Controls for external manufacturers providing products to the Joint Reconstruction and PowerTools/ Robotics business. Additionally, the Senior Manager Source Quality will drive continuous improvement, execute and monitor Supplier Quality system deliverables to ensure the function meets its quality objectives related to Purchasing Controls.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$120,000-$207,000
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Additionally, the Senior Manager Source Quality will drive continuous improvement, execute and monitor Supplier Quality system deliverables to ensure the function meets its quality objectives related to Purchasing Controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for Purchasing Controls of External Manufacturers.
- Lead continuous improvement to simplify, standardize and digitize Supplier Quality system deliverables ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and J&J standards.
- Be responsible for generation, monitoring and reporting of Supplier Quality metrics.
- Execute quality system deliverables to ensure quality system requirements are achieved.
- Be responsible for maintenance of Supplier Quality Agreements.
- Provide quality leadership to recruit, develop and manage a supplier quality team to achieve business and quality objectives.
- Lead Purchasing Controls during third party assessments at Raynham/Bridgewater and supports DePuy Synthes and suppliers.
- Actively drive Supplier Quality goals and objectives.
- Resolve challenges & eliminate constraints to ensure project and supply targets are met.
- Provide quality engineering support including product non-conformances, verification/validation activities, CAPA and change management.
- Ensure training curriculums are aligned to functional, and business needs to maintain compliance and drive efficiency.
- Be responsible for ensuring financial commitments are achieved.
- Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities.
- Maintain standards of housekeeping & GMP requirements.
Education:
- A minimum of a University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Scientific or associated relevant Technical / Engineering discipline is required.
- An Advanced degree in engineering/scientific or discipline is preferred.
Required:
- A minimum of 8 years progressive experience in a regulated industry and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
- Previous work experience with Suppliers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business impact of compliance issues and risk management.
- Experience in leadership roles involving project management, problem solving and technical projects.
- This individual is expected to possess high performing skills in negotiating and influencing decision makers, decision making skills, communication skills, judgement, tact and leadership skills.
- Experience with quality system oversight and execution of quality system deliverables.
- A minimum of three (3) years of people management experience.
- A minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in Supply Chain and/or R&D.
- Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and certification.
- This position may require up to 10% travel, both domestic and international.
