About the role

We're looking for an Property Claims Analyst (12 month term) to join our quality team!

Utilizing a solid technical background and leadership capabilities, the Property Claims Analyst will serve the West Property team through monthly internal file reviews of property claims. Analysts will provide feedback to stakeholders and provide coaching when required. By working closely with managers, analysts will seek to convey the strengths and opportunities for each team. Through their deep understanding of the department's file handling quality, analysts will pinpoint and make recommendations for process improvements. All efforts will seek to support teams towards our key department objectives through a data-based approach.

What you'll do here:
  • Complete monthly claims audits through the IFR (Internal File Review) program, based on the national CFR audit
  • Analyze reports, notice trends in data and provide commentaries where applicable to management and frontline staff
  • Assess and recommend improvement to current processes and protocols
  • Lead small to large-scale projects to enhance efficiency, improve customer services and reduce leakage
  • Work in tandem with Claims Specialists on a number of coaching and training initiatives
  • Create reports and recommendations to management in a clear and concise matter
  • Review and update existing processes and procedures in search of operational efficiency and effectiveness gain


What you bring to the table:
  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of property claims experience
  • Very diplomatic and great at nurturing relationships
  • Creative, analytical, curious and ingenious
  • Computer savvy with strong Excel and MS office skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable speaking to and training small or large groups of frontline staff
  • Big-picture thinking, with a focus on details
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and proactive
  • Forward thinking, with an innovative mindset
  • Interest in building leadership abilities
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and curious
  • Adept at leading staff in situations which can be ambiguous or prone to changes in priorities

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:
$65,000.00 - $97,400.00
