The Head of Platform Services leads all aspects of our infrastructure at a strategic level, overseeing critical
systems across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. This senior position requires a versatile
technology leader who can balance operational excellence with innovation while managing a specialized team.
The ideal candidate will design secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions that support our
investment management operations, optimize costs, and drive business value. They will serve as the technical
authority on infrastructure decisions, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, and ensure our
technology foundation meets rigorous financial industry standards for performance, security, and compliance.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop a team of 5 infrastructure specialists and 2 desktop support while collaborating
across IT and business units to deliver exceptional service
Design and implement robust security frameworks as the de-facto CISO across LAN and Cloud
infrastructure that balance protection with usability, including advanced network firewalls, IDS/IPS,
endpoint protection, and comprehensive data security controls
Optimize our VMWare environment while researching and executing migration to more cost-effective
virtualization alternatives; establish automated DevOps pipelines for efficient Windows and Linux
image creation and maintenance
Strategically manage our storage infrastructure (NetApp, Pure Storage) with a focus on performance
optimization, capacity planning, effective archiving policies, and TCO reduction
Orchestrate server patching, upgrade strategies, and lifecycle management across on-premises
datacenters and Azure cloud environments
Lead root cause analysis for complex infrastructure incidents and implement preventative measures
Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLA compliance
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
BS in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure management with at least 3 years in a
leadership role
Proven track record managing hybrid environments spanning traditional datacenters and public cloud
(particularly Azure)
Deep expertise in network security architecture, zero-trust principles, and defense-in-depth
strategies
Strong background in virtualization platforms with experience evaluating alternative solutions and
migration planning
Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems and modern data management practices
Understanding of investment management systems and financial technology infrastructure demands
Advanced skills in infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies
Experience implementing and maintaining robust disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
Thorough knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to financial services (SOC2, SEC regulations,
GDPR)
Proficiency with containerization, microservices architecture, and orchestration platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a systematic troubleshooting approach
Executive-level communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical
stakeholders
Demonstrated success in budget management, resource allocation, and TCO optimization
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent
Experience with FinTech-specific infrastructure requirements and regulatory controls
Knowledge of data analytics platforms and infrastructure supporting algorithmic trading
Expertise in implementing zero-downtime maintenance strategies for 24/7 operations
Experience leading infrastructure modernization and digital transformation initiatives
Background in capacity planning and performance optimization for mission-critical systems
