The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one, Permanent, Full-time Associate Governmental Program Analyst position within the Division of Broker-Dealer Investment Adviser Unit. This position is to be located in the Sacramento office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.
Under the direction of the Financial Institutions Manager of the Licensing Section, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for various analytical business services functions of complex difficulty. The AGPA will be responsible for monitoring, facilitating, and developing unit-specific programs. Please review attached duty statement for more information.

Working Conditions
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week. Beginning July 1, 2025, all employees will be required to work in-person at least four days per week in alignment with Executive Order (EO) N-22-25.

The Sacramento office is in the new state-of-the-art May Lee State Office Complex in Sacramento's River District, conveniently located next to Light Rail. On site parking available for a fee.

The DFPI supervises the operations of state-licensed financial institutions, including banks, credit unions and money transmitters. Additionally, the DFPI licenses and regulates a variety of financial service providers, including securities brokers and dealers, investment advisers, payday lenders and other consumer finance lenders.
