PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to lead industry relationship development and drive relational growth for the Performance Racing Industry (PRI). This role focuses on presenting the various value-drivers that PRI offers, such as exhibit space, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities while promoting the full range of association benefits to potential members and customers. As a key contributor to the sales team, this position will complement existing efforts by executing new and established sales programs, processes, and procedures. Additionally, the role will oversee PRI's strategic marketing direction, managing external agencies, internal resources, and the in-house marketing team to ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in business development, marketing, and industry engagement, ensuring sustained growth and success in the performance racing sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
1. Sales Achievement: Work in concert with the Sales Team to drive and meet annual sales targets for exhibit space, sponsorships, memberships, print advertising, and digital assets, including travel to engage potential members, partners and customers.
2. Time & Task Management: Prioritize and effectively manage time to represent all association assets to customers and members.
3. Direct Sales Engagement: Conduct in-person meetings based on business needs and budget considerations.
4. CRM Utilization: Use CRM tools to track and log all customer interactions and activity.
5. Industry Event Participation: Represent the organization at industry events and trade shows as needed to expand networks and drive sales.
6. Sales Planning & Forecasting: Develop and execute sales plans while identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
7. Sales Support Materials: Ensure the Sales Team has all necessary collateral and other essential sales materials.
8. Strategic Sales Direction: Collaborate with the VP of Sales and President to establish and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to expand channels, enhance customer acquisition, and drive long-term growth that is complimentary to the existing sales teams strategies.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and internal departments to ensure seamless promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
10. Business Growth & Market Insights: Identify emerging industry trends and new business opportunities, adjusting strategies to remain competitive and surpass sales targets.
11. Sales Performance & Optimization: Monitor key sales metrics, refine tactics based on data analysis, and continuously optimize sales performance to meet or exceed business goals.
12. Marketing Strategy Development: Define strategic marketing direction, including social media, digital marketing, and overall design and implementation to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
13. Executive Collaboration: Partner with leadership to align sales strategies and marketing strategies with overall business objectives, providing insights that shape the organization's future direction.

PRIMARY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
1. Industry Expertise: Strong network within the high-performance and motorsports industry, including PRI.
2. B2B Sales Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales models, distributor networks, and digital eCommerce.
3. Customer-Centric Approach: Committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
4. Strategic & Tactical Execution: Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while balancing strategic planning and hands-on execution to develop impactful sales programs.
5. Results-Driven: Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals and driving revenue growth.
6. Sales Knowledge: In-depth understanding of exhibit space and advertising sales, including pricing structures and digital advertising.
7. Marketing Acumen: Knowledge of marketing disciplines required to support a trade organization.
8. Technology Proficiency: Experience working with CRM, ERP systems, marketing applications, and dashboard-metric management tools.
9. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs, budgeting software, and other relevant business applications.
10. Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the motorsports industry and its complexities.
11. Communication & Leadership: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven organizational, managerial, and group facilitation experience.
12. Media Savvy: Knowledge of current and emerging media trends.
13. Technology Awareness: Familiarity with computer systems and related software applications.
14. Financial Literacy: Basic knowledge of budget development and financial planning.15. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent 5-7 years of direct experience in a relevant role.
