Labor and Employment Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and labor relations, providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various employment-related matters. The Attorney will play a critical role in advising clients on compliance with labor laws, handling disputes, and navigating complex employment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on employment law and labor relations matters to clients.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, severance packages, and other related documents.
  • Represent clients in employment litigation, including discrimination claims, wrongful termination cases, and disciplinary actions.
  • Counsel clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients on best practices in employment policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of workplace policies and conduct investigations into employment-related complaints.
  • Advocate for clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Active license to practice law in NY.
  • 2+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in litigation and dispute resolution in employment matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary for this position, ranging between $110,000 -$145,000 annually. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans. We have an annual standard of 1800 billable hours with 50 hours of pro bono service(treated as billable). We also provide a set partnership track, so you'll know where you're headed from day one!
