What is the opportunity?
As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) Wholesale and Commercial Credit risk, the Director, GRM Commercial Controls and Governance will provide day-to-day management of the Risk Control framework, Business management and be key liaison for the credit parameters (e.g. Probability of Default, Loss Given Default and Exposure at Default). The Director will help manage interactions with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders including regulators, auditors, operational risk, enterprise risk, finance and business partners.

Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) Wholesale and Commercial Credit risk, the Director, GRM Commercial Controls and Governance will provide day-to-day management of the Risk Control framework, Business management and be key liaison for the credit parameters (e.g. Probability of Default, Loss Given Default and Exposure at Default). The Director will help manage interactions with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders including regulators, auditors, operational risk, enterprise risk, finance and business partners.
What will you do?
- Act as a point person for all on-site internal and external audit reviews, including coordination of action plans. Attend quarterly meetings and ensure testing of SOX and other Key Controls.
- Evolve as subject matter expert for all parameters and be primary point of contact for Credit Models & Methodology, Financial Resource Optimization team, risk criteria paper team etc.
- Prepare timely and comprehensive key management reporting and liaise with Risk. Managers/Executives/business partners as needed.
- Monitoring FTE/Budget/NIE spend and tracking with Finance.
- Manage a team of 3 Governance, Controls and reporting team.
- Develop and manage adhoc reporting deliverables for GRM Commercial executive
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Minimum of 10yrs within the financial business space with preference for a candidate with at least 4yrs commercial credit experience
- Expert knowledge of Commercial lending including risk assessment disciplines, policies, procedures and industry issues.
- Business degree and a high proficiency in writing and communication skills
- Proven track record of building productive relationships with business and functional partners.
- Proven ability to prioritize work effectively and manage competing demands.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in in Operational Risk, Compliance and Reporting.
- Strong credit acumen and previous lending/adjudication experience in Commercial markets.
