Summary

UltraSense Systems is looking for strong Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design engineer. Main responsibilities include development of touch sensing solutions across multiple applications from mobile to automotive to IoT.

Major Responsibilities
  • Drive touch sensing features and performance definition, top-level integration, verification, assist design trade-offs, coordinating layout activities.
  • Develop design schedules, monitoring progress throughout the project, regular updates to design leaders and team managers.
  • Design documentation and reviews.
  • Modeling at the block and sub-system level, provide support for integration into the IC top level.
  • Create initial lab bring-up plans, lead initial design evaluation and debug, track and drive IC bug resolution.
  • Collaborate with validation teams, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful IC Qualification and release to production.
  • Work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing to prepare datasheets, application notes and assisting in the definition of the product to meet customer needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates with a Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years experience leading analogue top-level integration/verification. Specifically, in the area of high-resolution ADCs/DACs, Audio amplifiers and various support circuitry. History of successfully leading multiple IPs/sub-systems to mass production.
  • Experience with Continuous and Discrete Time Delta Sigma architectures, including Class D architectures
  • Matlab/Simulink system analysis background to help team define/validate architecture and analyze trade-offs.
  • Solid mixed-mode design experience leading complex design projects integrating analogue and digital designs.
  • Experience with CMOS analog circuit design.
  • Good documentation and communication skills and the ability to work independently and with others in a distributed environment with engineers in several locations.
  • Candidate should demonstrate a true motivation to work with a team to bring new ideas in the audio domain that will help to surpass the competitive landscape.
  • The candidate should have a strong willingness to provide innovative circuit design solutions, ability to mentor other engineers in the state of the art.
  • Applies knowledge and advanced analytical and/or technical interpretation to resolve a variety of complex problems.
  • Experience with AMS/System-Verilog modeling for mixed-signal verification.
  • Experience in the design of sigma-deltas ADCs/DACs from system analysis to implementation. Discrete-time and continuous-time architectures design experience.
  • Experience with Cadence EDA tools.
  • Experience in the use of SPICE or Spectre simulation.
  • Experience to use diverse laboratory tools for silicon evaluation.
