About the Role

A Data Analyst III should have a good understanding of best practices and can execute on projects and initiatives with limited supervision from others. Individuals will create intermediate-level insight and recommendations in their area of expertise. Individuals in this role will continue to provide support to the analytics team members and begin to lead analytics efforts with intermediate complexity.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and an aptitude for solving problems effectively. The role requires the ability to support Blue Sky desktop applications, collaborate with team members, and communicate effectively with vendors and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Support for Blue Sky proprietary desktop and web applications, including app configuration, troubleshooting, QA testing and installation of software updates
  • Maintenance of service accounts, planning and validations for updates made to VM's, testing for new releases, and coordination with the Development team for bug and enhancement requests
  • Work closely with data providers, clients, and internal teams to effectively manage enhancement projects for sales data provided in flat files. Ensure sFTP connectivity is established with the applicable parties, perform setup and testing tied to the flat files, communicate progress, and ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Assist with maintenance and implementation of the disaster recovery plan and preparation for yearly SOC audits
  • With applicable training, provide support for the current Quickbooks desktop app and assistance with the migration to Quickbooks online
  • Maintenance of VBA Macros in Excel and Access used for critical business audit functions


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required or applicable experience with combined education
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience
  • Strong data management abilities with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and MS Access
  • Experience with MS Batch
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to correspond on a technical level and in terms understood by end users
  • Development background a plus
  • Software system related project management experience is a plus
