License: Board Eligible in Medical Physics
Certifications: ABR Certification; BLS within 30 days of hire
Must-Have: Advanced computer skills
Job Description:
- Perform a variety of medical physics services, including developing techniques to standardize and calibrate imaging and therapy equipment.
- Execute treatment planning for special cases and act as a resource to other staff regarding treatment plans, simulations, and special device fabrication.
- Validate the accuracy of treatment plans and provide consultations to physicians as per orders.
- Conduct acceptance testing, measurements, commissioning, and ongoing quality assurance testing of linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and physics equipment to establish accuracy and safety.
- Coordinate treatment planning processes and other procedures as indicated.
- Oversee quality control measures.
- Document all aspects of physics services.
- Participate in performance improvement and radiation safety activities.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
- Complete assigned goals.
