Job Details:
The Director of the Atlanta Physical Plant will oversee all campus maintenance, renovation and construction activities.

Responsibilities:

This position serves as a professional facility/construction project manager, performing complex operations and maintenance programming, budgeting, safety and resource protection. The Director performs facility management involving planning, design and construction management for the repair upgrade and expansion of University facilities. This position involves supervising internal maintenance staff and provides significant facility management oversight of contractors. The Director ensures compliance with complex health, safety and environmental laws, codes, and standards to eliminate or control safety/fire hazards in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment. This position will also perform other duties as assigned with limited direction from the Associate V.P. for Facilities.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in a management/leadership position in construction related field are required. Candidates must have an Engineering License or be a Certified Construction Manager. Candidates with a master's degree are highly desirable.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.
