Job Description
We are seeking an emerging engineer to join our Land Development practice in the North Raleigh area. As a Civil Land Development Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering design and analysis for civil site projects, including parks and recreation facilities, single-family residential development, corporate campuses, and mixed-use commercial developments. You will assist in the preparation of construction documents and coordinate with other project team members. Additionally, you will be involved in construction administration, site visits, and client interviews to gather field information necessary for project design.
Responsibilities
The office is located in the North Hills area, providing easy access in and out without the main traffic congestion. The company prefers individuals to be in the office 3-4 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Company Paid Health Insurance, 401k 3% Contribution, PTO 3+ Weeks, HOL - 9 Days.
WFH - Yes, 2 Days Home, 3 Days In Flexibility. Prefer In Office
Continued Edu. - Yes

Job Description
We are seeking an emerging engineer to join our Land Development practice in the North Raleigh area. As a Civil Land Development Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering design and analysis for civil site projects, including parks and recreation facilities, single-family residential development, corporate campuses, and mixed-use commercial developments. You will assist in the preparation of construction documents and coordinate with other project team members. Additionally, you will be involved in construction administration, site visits, and client interviews to gather field information necessary for project design.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design and analysis for civil site projects using applicable software and design methodologies.
- Assist in the preparation of project construction documents, including construction drawings, specifications, details, and calculation submittals.
- Coordinate with project team members such as architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, and owners.
- Review project shop drawings, respond to contractor RFIs, and perform site inspections as part of construction administration.
- Conduct site visits and client interviews to gather field information required for project design.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Bio & Ag Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- EIT or EI certification is required.
- Eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineering license within 2 years is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of civil engineering design experience in a civil/site or stormwater-focused role.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Civil 3D/Carlson/MicroStation Software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and interact with team members and clients.
- Experience with GIS applications, StormCAD, or other drainage software is a plus.
- Experience in preparing site plans, including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.
- Willingness to engage with clients to maintain open lines of communication and ensure client satisfaction.
