Term - Ending October 2026, Full Time - 35 hours per week

The Opportunity:
  • Ensure that the child/youth is aware of his/her rights under section 70 of the CFCSA
  • Develops care plans with a focus on long-term planning for the child/youth in care (ex. cancellation of the care order, transfer of custody, adoption)
  • Provide on-going support and guidance to the child/youth for the duration his/her time in care, taking into consideration the child/youth's views and best interests as outlined in legislation
  • Involve birth parents and extended family in planning wherever possible

What You Will Bring to The Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (Psychology, Sociology, Child & Youth Care, etc.) preferred, or
  • Two-year Diploma in Social Services and two years direct experience working with children and families
  • Must possess C3, C4 or greater delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA) in British Columbia, or the ability to attend training to obtain C4 delegation

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $40.52 to $52.47 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
