Director of Software - The Dinerstein Companies - Houston, TX

The Dinerstein Companies (TDC) is hiring a Houston-based Director of Software to serve as the primary systems administrator of Entrata and other property management related software for TDC Management. This position reports to the Executive Vice Presidents and will work closely with the entire Management team to assist and support the entire portfolio including both student and conventional assets. This role will be an integral member of our corporate support within TDC Management.

Core Responsibilities

The Director of Software will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the full suite of Entrata products and other property management systems utilized by TDC. This individual will work closely with the company's accounting and management services teams to support all property needs, as well as supporting the requests of TDC leadership.

• Oversee the day to day operations of Entrata, including implementing a standard set up for both student and conventional properties
• Manage the support portal, and all incoming requests from onsite teams and TDC leadership
• Coordinate new systems development, testing, training and rollouts
• Assist with property transitions including new property migrations in Entrata and setups as well as coordinating migrations during dispositions of assets
• Work with TDC leadership to understand long term strategy of all assets, while customizing Entrata, to allow for better visibility into operational metrics
• Customizes Entrata for better visibility into operational metrics, acts as a liaison with TDC management, and ensures Entrata meets TDC needs.
• Work on TDC internal BI platform and continuing to optimize for everyday use
• Oversees additional members of the software department and develops strategy to improve operations at TDC

Leadership Team

As a member of the Property Management Leadership team, the Director of Software will attend quarterly and yearly Leadership Meetings and participate in operational projects in collaboration with other Leadership team members. These projects are aimed at ensuring The Dinerstein Companies remains the most innovative management company in the country.

• Collaborate with The Dinerstein Companies management team on better ways to utilize software systems throughout the portfolio
• Lead all portfolio-wide rollouts of all products in software systems being utilized
• Strategize with Property Management team to find solutions for recurring system issues, and assist the Portfolio Directors to have a greater understanding of recurring system issues, and ways to minimize these

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Software Systems Manager role would have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of property management experience preferred
• Entrata experience required
• Corporate software systems support experience preferred.
• Willingness to lead
• Experience communicating with a diverse set of audiences, including vendors, executives and partners
• Travel required to our national portfolio of properties
• Experience communicating with a diverse set of audiences, including team members, executives and partners
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Houston, TX
