ServiceNow Project Manager

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Drives end-to-end delivery of approved and funded strategic projects.
  • Guides complex projects from inception through delivery and support.
  • Partners closely with IT and business leaders, including project, program, and executive sponsors, and all IT groups.
  • Defines project objectives and creates plans to achieve them.
  • Tracks progress against objectives and budgets.
  • Drives the execution of key projects and programs.
  • Coaches project team members.
  • Improves project management processes.
  • Provides overall coordination and status reporting.
  • Ensures project-oriented work effort stability.
  • Establishes new and improves existing project management processes and methodologies.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.

Strategic Contributions (20%):

  • Provides strategic input to IT and other leadership on project/program aspects.
  • Acts as a thought leader in streamlining and standardizing key business processes.
  • Collaborates with business leadership to document the vision of business problems/opportunities addressed by IT services.
  • Incorporates best practices into the IT organization, starting with project/program management.

Execution (60%):

  • Successfully manages and executes projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Accountable for in-scope, on-schedule, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of IT programs and projects.
  • Follows and exemplifies consistent project management practices, processes, and metrics.
  • Develops clear, business-language presentations for senior leadership to support decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Maintains, socializes, and enforces the overall project management lifecycle.
  • Collaborates with the VP IT, IT leaders, and other executives on key decision-making during project execution.

Capability Building (20%):

  • Mentors, coaches, develops, and encourages excellence from IT teams.
  • Retools personal skills and knowledge.
  • Continually upgrades personal skills and knowledge of business and cutting-edge IT solutions.
  • Enhances knowledge of leading best practices in program/project management and provides expert advice.
