Weare looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seekinga Senior Environmental Health & Safety Professional 1 to work in a technical supportrole with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamicenvironment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group andcompany and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range ofclients. This is a full-time position located in our Rochester, NY office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

• Prepare and/or review written communications and technical deliverables.
• Demonstrate and apply technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standard of practice to assigned tasks.
• Leverage understanding of technical scopes of work for assigned work and their alignment with overall project objectives to deliver quality assignments.
• Coach, mentor, and direct junior staff to ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, including field activities and preparation of technical reports and deliverables, while facilitating knowledge transfer for team development.
• Use developing skills to be visible in your discipline by giving internal technical presentations and/or conference presentations and attending external networking events.
• Oversee bench scale testing, field pilot study demonstrations, remedial construction, and remedial system O&M tasks.
• Lead project environmental data reduction and technical evaluation, including summarization and visualization tasks
• Lead project feasibility studies, remedial design, cost estimating and permitting tasks.
• Plan and perform all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of related experience.
• Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information.
• Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
• Skilled in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software.
• Experience with soil, groundwater, and air treatment technologies.
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks pertinent to the work.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with groundwater fate and transport modeling and conceptual site model development.
• Design, construction, and O&M experience with environmental remediation projects.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.

The salary range for this position in Rochester, NY is $65,000 - $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company's discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
