Job Details:

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts and provide accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring competitive and profitable bids while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in estimating interior projects ($3M-$5M) or ground-up projects ($5M-$10M) and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and cost structures.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and ensure accuracy in material, labor, and equipment estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align estimates with project goals.
  • Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities during the preconstruction phase.
  • Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and negotiations to ensure competitive proposals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, labor rates, and material costs.
  • Utilize estimating software (such as ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar platforms) to streamline processes.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing conceptual budgets and assisting with client presentations.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating with a general contractor
  • Experience with either interior projects ($3M-$5M) or ground-up projects ($5M-$10M).
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (such as Sage, ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in cost forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
