Join us at Entrust

At Entrust, we're shaping the future of identity centric security solutions. From our comprehensive portfolio of solutions to our flexible, global workplace, we empower careers, foster collaboration, and build solutions that help keep the world moving safely.

Get to Know Us

Headquartered in Minnesota, Entrust is an industry leader in identity-centric security solutions, serving over 150 countries with cutting-edge, scalable technologies. But our secret weapon? Our people. It's the curiosity, dedication, and innovation that drive our success and help us anticipate the future.

Principal Product Designer, Cryptographic Security Platform

Entrust keeps the world moving safely by enabling strong identities, secure payments, and protected data. It takes an innovative group of dedicated people working together to enable millions of trusted identities and secure customer interactions every day. Join a global team that finds purpose in solving some of the world's most complex challenges.

We're looking for a Principal Product Designer to shape the vision of our Cryptography Portfolio at Entrust. Our team is responsible for the entire suite of Entrust's data security products. Today these include market-leading key management, public key infrastructure, certificate lifecycle management, digital signing, hardware security modules, and compliance management solutions.

You'll lead design as we bring these solutions together into a unified platform to help customers manage cryptography across some of the largest and most complex enterprises on the planet.

You will take ownership of and define key design initiatives, influencing the solutions in a new market category and one of Entrust's core areas of focus. This will require visionary strategic thinking, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of the broader data security ecosystem. You will inspire and mentor other designers while pushing the design quality bar across the organization.

We'll look to you to provide a north star that will guide us, question our assumptions, and help bring a compelling and effective creative vision to life. You'll become a reliable, credible voice for the business, working closely with product management, engineering, and senior company leaders to build roadmaps, scope projects, and execute at the highest levels.
What you'll do at Entrust:
  • Define the long-term design vision and lead the design strategy of Entrust's Cryptography Security Platform, balancing the complexity of data security needs with simplicity and usability.
  • Identify the motivations, needs, expectations, and goals of the people you're designing for and translate these into compelling experiences.
  • Set the bar for quality on your projects. Typically, you'll be the only principal designer on a project. You'll identify opportunities to elevate the work and the team around you, often pushing clients and colleagues outside their comfort zones to deliver exceptional products.
  • Build meaningful and effective relationships with PMs, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Senior Leaders.
  • Work closely with design and product leadership to ensure alignment between long-term strategy and business goals, and experience quality.
Required Qualifications:
  • You have 10+ years of UX/UI design experience, with deep expertise in web and enterprise-level designs, particularly in complex systems.
  • You possess the ability to be autonomous. You take the initiative and end-to-end ownership of complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional partners and other designers. You seek and give feedback with a positive sense of curiosity and encouragement!
  • You have exceptional facilitation and communication skills. You enable effective critique and design discussions and have a demonstrated ability to communicate design rationale and strategy effectively.
  • You are a systems thinker. You are thoughtful about things like network structure, follow models, user discovery, and privacy tools. You understand the importance of sequencing and stage your work accordingly. You build design systems, style guides, color palettes, and experiences that can scale.
  • You have a track record of industry-leading work. You can share impactful product launches that have shaped product direction at a company-wide level, backed by quantifiable and qualitative evidence of success.

In our interview process, we will ask you to share two or three examples of your best work. These case studies should demonstrate your approach to solving tough challenges-giving us a sense of your creative vision, strategy, execution, and results. We love to hear stories that delve into the messiness of the product design process through all its iterations, hypotheses, successes, and failures. We're not afraid to see unfinished work but we need to know where you ended up and how that outcome impacted the business.
