Chemical Buyer

The Company is looking for a self-motivated individual to join their team as a full time Senior Purchaser. The ideal candidate will have a background in inventory control, supply chain management, or in retail sales, be a strong negotiator who can select or maintain a list of manufacturers and suppliers of chemical raw materials and purchase those materials at competitive costs and favorable terms.

Essential Functions:

Manage and track inventory of company products and services

• Create and update product/service plans to ensure accuracy and continuity of product offerings
• Manage product ordering and receiving procedures, including stock management, inventory control, and delivery scheduling
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth business operations
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and other records
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Sales
• Should have knowledge of haz-mat chemicals

computer savvy. Candidate must have excellent communication skills with 15 to 20 years experience. Senior level entry salary offered plus growth opportunity.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in business administration or related field preferred. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the wholesale industry is required. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in supply chain management or inventory control is preferred. Chemical knowledge a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
