Description:

ERM is seeking a full-time Principal Consultant, Health & Safety, to join our team in Houston, TX and the Gulf region. Support our Health & Safety service line. Support health and safety management projects and help clients address EHS risks and challenges. Must be fluent in Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement Safety Management Systems and risk assessments
  • Perform incident investigations and develop corrective actions
  • Assist in solving complex technical and regulatory issues
  • Expand ERM's Safety Services business and develop new opportunities
  • Design and direct corporate H&S strategies and programs
  • Lead and mentor the technical team
  • Manage tasks to achieve scope, budget, and schedule targets
  • Build client relationships and nurture repeat business


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree in a related area; Masters degree preferred (or 8+ years related experience).
  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience in safety and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) and valid passport.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.


GREAT TO HAVE:
  • CSP, CIH, PE, or similar certification highly desirable.
  • Consulting experience a plus.
