As the Global Head of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for optimizing Lucid's Financial Services processes end-to-end. You will partner closely with Operations, Reporting & Analytics, Risk & Compliance, Product, Customer Excellence & other internal functions as part of the Financial Services Middle Office to identify, document and mitigate sources of friction within our internal processes that negatively impact Customer & Employee experience.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$138,800-$203,500 USD

As the Global Head of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for optimizing Lucid's Financial Services processes end-to-end. You will partner closely with Operations, Reporting & Analytics, Risk & Compliance, Product, Customer Excellence & other internal functions as part of the Financial Services Middle Office to identify, document and mitigate sources of friction within our internal processes that negatively impact Customer & Employee experience.
You Will:
- Drive Continuous Process Improvement across Lucid's Financial Services Organization globally to improve key metrics including financing process time, drive process automation to eliminate non-value added process steps, reduce errors and simplify the process while meeting regulatory requirements to improve customer & employee experience
- Partner with Customer Excellence to identify drivers of poor customer experience and make changes to our internal processes and partner with Product teams on technology changes to address root-causes
- Understand data trends and drive quantified results by using analytical methods and tools
- Facilitate groups through process mapping, root cause analysis, brainstorming, business impact assessments, gap analysis and project planning
- Create impactful metrics & KPIs to drive business outcomes
- Develop & maintain Procedures, Job Aids & Process Maps - Current & Future state
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales & Delivery, Legal, Compliance & Audit as well as externally with Financing Partners & Regulators to drive the operational excellence agenda
- Employ project management skills related to overall project tracking, deliverables management, action item tracking, meeting minutes, team communications, and presentations; keep stakeholders apprised of project status and defined deliverables
- Change management champion across all levels of the organization
- Utilize benchmarking to identify best practices, both internal and external to the organization
- Stay on top of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to key executives
- Anticipate business and regulatory issues; recommend product, process or service improvements
- Lead projects with notable risk and complexity; develop the strategy for project execution
- Manage project risk and resource requirements
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor champions, process owners and Black Belts
- Resolve obstacles/roadblocks, serve as a sounding board for problem resolution
- Solve complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Take a new perspective on existing solutions
- Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Drive innovative thinking to develop solutions
- Impact a range of customer, operational or service activities and works within guidelines and policies
- Impact the direction and resource allocation for projects
- Adept at observing, assessing and helping team members recognize areas for development
You bring:
- 8+ years experience leading Process Improvement & Operational Excellence within Financial Services
- 2+ years experience in Project Management
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or similar with Technical mastery of Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, DFSS, Lean/CI
- Deep Expertise with developing Value Stream Mapping using LucidChart (preferred), Visio or similar tools
- Experience managing teams and monitoring key metrics (customer, internal, vendor metrics)
- Building partnerships with cross-functional teams within Lucid including Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Sales & Delivery, Accounting, Marketing
- Explain difficult or sensitive information in an easy-to-understand manner and work to build consensus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Establish credibility as the go-to expert within Financial Services globally on Process Excellence
- Ability to challenge status quo and influence across various levels of the organization
- Strong stakeholder management including navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders across organizations and borders
- Experience in data analytics, and navigation of multiple data sources to produce cohesive and accurate regulatory reporting deliverables
- Position based in Newark, CA
Preferred:
- Advanced degree and certifications (Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt, CBPL, etc.)
- Experience in the Luxury & EV segment is strongly preferred
- Experience with international markets including Europe & Middle East is a plus
- Financial compliance, operational, regulatory, management consulting, or legal experience
- PMP certification
- SQL and/or Excel skills
