The Consumer Packaged Goods Vertical Sales Manager for Digital Industries Automation will create and execute the vertical industry strategy for key CPG U.S. End User Accounts. The role will drive growth and satisfaction for customers and employees. A successful candidate requires strong demonstrable leadership and the ability to work with key stakeholders to build trust and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the Consumer Package Goods vertical and will report to the Food & Beverage Vertical Management (VM) within the Digital Industries Sales organization.

We are looking for a Consumer Packaged Goods Sales Manager. This position will be based regionally within the United States.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Marketing and Strategy Coordination: Participate in marketing and research efforts, lead strategy development, and coordinate with business units, sales teams, and other functions to align on strategic and tactical goals.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Work with the Vertical Sales Market Head to lead, create, implement, and monitor a U.S.-focused strategy that drives growth in orders and increases market share in the industrial market.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously analyze the F&B/CPG vertical market to identify potential threats and opportunities and recommend and implement changes to strategies and offerings based on customer needs.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry market trends, competitors, and market demands, providing feedback to guide the company's strategic direction and portfolio development.
  • Growth Opportunity Assessment: Collaborate with internal teams and external ecosystems to evaluate and prioritize potential growth opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Development: Build relationships with customers, peer sales teams, and marketing teams to understand customer needs and translate those into actionable plans.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with the Vertical Market team and business unit leaders to align on strategies and approaches for large, strategic opportunities with top-tier clients in the industrial market.
  • Industry Representation: Represent Siemens at industry events, networking with executives, clients, and other key players to enhance business relationships and opportunities.
  • Market Share Growth: Drive demand gen activities (campaigns) and initiatives to increase Siemens' market share in industrial verticals and accounts.
  • Differentiation and Growth Planning: Develop strategies focused on digitalization and strategic solutions to differentiate Siemens DI AUT USA and drive growth with target clients.
  • Account Responsibility: Limited account responsibility until future expansion.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with Industrial Clients: 8+ years' experience in selling in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and marketing for industrial clients, understanding their buying processes.
  • Executive Leadership & Communication: 5+ years of management experience leveraging strong leadership skills, along with the ability to negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively (both written and oral) with internal teams and external contacts.
  • Industrial Automation Knowledge: Working knowledge of industrial automation, including hardware, software, products, solutions, and services.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • Ability to travel 30-50%

  • Proven track record and experience serving end user customers.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with Executives
  • Opportunity Identification: Proven ability to spot opportunities and turn them into commercial solutions.
  • Decisive & Strategic: Confidence in making decisions and setting objectives for key issues.
  • Problem-Solving & Data Utilization: Experience solving complex problems and using data and analytics to create effective, adaptive business strategies.
  • Influencing Without Authority: Comfortable motivating and influencing resources, even when you don't have direct authority over them.
  • Navigating Complex Organizations: Strong ability to navigate both Siemens' internal structure and the organizational dynamics of strategic industrial clients.
  • Bachelor's degree

  • The pay range for this position is $120,540 - $206,640 and the annual incentive target is 42% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
