Requirements for this electrical Systems Engineer job

To thrive as a Electrical Systems Engineer at MRI Technologies, a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills is essential. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering and possess 2-5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related area. A proven track record of leading technical teams and developing complex systems that encompass both hardware and software configuration items is crucial. Successful applicants should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the systems engineering process and the entire system lifecycle, including hardware and software development methods. Familiarity with the space system certification process and Design for Sustainment methodology is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills across various disciplines are vital, as you'll be collaborating with multiple teams. Experience in a NASA, DoD, or Aerospace environment is highly valued, along with expertise in requirements management, risk analysis, and system verification. Proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office products will aid in effective project execution.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Experience designing and leading complex system development which includes both hardware and software configuration items
  • Experience leading development projects
  • Knowledge of the systems engineering process
  • Knowledge of the system lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle to include hardware and software development process
  • Understanding of the space system certification process
  • Understanding of Design for Sustainment methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple disciplines
  • Knowledge and work experience in a Systems Engineering role in a NASA DoD or Aerospace environment.
  • Experience with requirements management verification and validation definition and execution design trades risk, analysis and system analysis of space hardware.
  • Experience with the concept development concept of operation and operational concept definition architecture, definition verification testing and operation of space hardware.
  • Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with the design assembly verification testing and operation of space hardware.
