Job Description:
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees while complying with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations and company guidelines.
- Investigate product quality concerns and works closely with Quality Assurance and team members to resolve any problems.
- Sponsor and ensure engagement in all internal and external audit programs such as Corporate, notified body & FDA audits.
- Responsible for the technical and professional development of the manufacturing team and ensuring the requisite resources and skill sets are available and developed to meet current and future business needs. Support the manufacturing organizational model and alignment with future needs.
- Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing leaders and individual contributors to achieve business objectives.
- Drive high levels of employee engagement.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives in line with the site's strategic plan.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement across all areas, partnering with all stakeholders to ensure the business continues to evolve to meet business needs.
- Lead kaizen activities aimed at eliminating waste.
- Lead the 6S program and establish new processes with the 6S mindset.
- Resolve operational issues and conflicts promptly to minimize disruptions to business activities and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with new product introduction teams to enhance product manufacturability, prototype builds, and support new product launches.
- Partner with key functions to meet customer demand and strengthen supply chain resiliency.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Production Management.
- At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing.
- 3+ years of people management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven ability to develop high-performance teams.
- Expertise in solving complex problems independently or collaboratively, using appropriate tools.
- Experience in manufacturing high-reliability electromechanical assemblies within highly regulated environments.
- Experience in lean manufacturing.
- Strong collaboration skills, including daily engagement with technicians, engineers, and managers.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach emerging leaders.
