Lighting Department Manager - Set the Stage for Brilliance at Every Show!

Now we're looking for a forward-thinking and technically brilliant Lighting Department Manager to guide the strategy, execution, and quality of our lighting operations.
This role is equal parts leader, designer, and technical expert-responsible for elevating the show experience, mentoring technicians, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with lighting design.

What You'll Be Doing:
Administrative Leadership:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical excellence across every event.
- Review show quotes for proper gear selection, staff assignments, and spec accuracy.
- Maintain a trusted roster of top-tier technicians-both full-time and freelance.
- Evaluate and improve Quality Control standards and workflows.
- Coordinate technician scheduling and consult on optimal staffing models.
- Join venue walk-throughs to identify lighting opportunities and constraints.
- Build strong relationships across ETP brand lighting teams to ensure cohesive success.
Design & Concept Execution:
- Translate creative visions into practical, awe-inspiring lighting plans.
- Determine the best gear and layouts to meet venue and client needs.
- Lead the Technical Design Service process with your fellow department managers.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide expert guidance to technicians to uphold show and brand standards.
- Ensure all prep and show documentation is precise and complete.
- Identify training needs and support programs that keep our techs ahead of the curve.
- Troubleshoot real-time show challenges and follow up on key reports post-show.
- Address client feedback, logistics issues, and technical concerns with precision and care.
