Position Summary
Aim High has bold goals to dramatically expand its impact. This expansion requires significant philanthropic investment, including major gifts from individual donors.
As the Major Gifts Officer, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual donors, with a focus on securing five- and six-figure gifts. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, you will work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and philanthropy team to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors who are deeply committed to Aim High's mission. If you thrive on building meaningful relationships, have a track record of securing major gifts, and are excited to connect donors to transformational opportunities, this is the role for you.

As the Major Gifts Officer, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual donors, with a focus on securing five- and six-figure gifts. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 75-125 individual donors capable of making five-and six-figure gifts.
- Develop and implement personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
- Secure new major gifts and increase giving from current donors.
- Lead one-on-one donor meetings, attend fundraising events, and engage supporters through tailored outreach.
- Maintain detailed donor records and pipeline progress in the CRM (Salesforce preferred).
- Partner with the CEO, VP of Development, and board members to strengthen major donor relationships.
- Provide briefings and talking points for leadership engaging with donors.
- Support strategies for Board engagement in fundraising.
- Identify and cultivate new prospective major donors to expand Aim High's donor base.
- Develop and deliver impact reports, personalized updates, and tailored stewardship plans.
- Plan and execute donor recognition efforts, including special events and exclusive engagement opportunities.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a focus on major gifts
- Proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and securing five-and six-figure gifts
- Exceptional relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to persuasively articulate Aim High's mission and impact to donors and stakeholders
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred) to track donor interactions and fundraising progress
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and motivated to exceed fundraising targets
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a deep respect for Aim High's community and mission
Job Details:
- Reports To: Vice President of Development
- Location: 601 Van Ness Avenue, Suite F/G San Francisco, CA 94102, hybrid schedule (3 days in office)
- Classification: Full-Time (40 hours per week); Exempt from overtime
- Travel: Regular travel throughout the Bay Area and Tahoe for donor meetings and events
- Pay Range: $100K-130K depending on experience
- Benefits: 100% employer-paid health insurance (medical/dental/vision) for employees, retirement match, and generous paid time off, including a winter closure
