Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic People Culture & Performance team in Vancouver, BC.
The People Culture & Performance team's key priority is the ongoing development of a culture that fosters effective leadership, performance and employee engagement. This team is responsible for various functions, such as strategic planning, enterprise risk management and business continuity management. It is also accountable for succession and performance management, leadership development, organizational development and change, talent acquisition and workforce planning.

It is also accountable for succession and performance management, leadership development, organizational development and change, talent acquisition and workforce planning.
Formula for success:
- Drawing on your experience in human resources, you will be responsible for assessing Leadership capabilities and coaching to close gaps, performance management, and team effectiveness.
- Applying your knowledge in Collective Agreements and Collective Bargaining, you will be managing Employee/Labour relations including Collective Agreement interpretation for multiple unions.
- Utilizing your excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, you will help drive Employee engagement and culture change.
- With your commitment to Excellence and continued growth, you will be participating in the development and delivery of Human Resources operational and strategic goals.
Desired education and skills:
- Completion of a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Behavioral Sciences or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of related experience in an operational and strategic Human Resources role within a unionized environment.
- Certified Human Resources Leader (CPHR) designation is an asset.
- Ideally experience in a manufacturing, supply chain and continuous improvement culture.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in labour relations.
- Thorough understanding of HR best practices, talent management concepts and strategic programs as well as related legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated consulting skills with strong planning and execution capabilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Effective interpersonal skills along with proven ability to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion.
- Ability to coach employees and managers through difficult situations and facilitate conflict resolution.
