OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition is a new role for our company and will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce strategy and leading all aspects of human resources in our Corporate functions (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, IT & HR), as well as leading our talented talent acquisition team. This position demands a strong strategic business partner who can influence and drive organizational effectiveness by leveraging comprehensive HR expertise. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in both talent management and talent acquisition (including recruiting for both salaried and hourly roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment) and will demonstrate strong capabilities in change management, strategic thinking, coaching, influencing, organizational effectiveness and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership of Corporate functions to develop and implement human resource strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Advocate for and influence HR initiatives that support organizational growth and employee engagement and help lead and drive our ongoing culture change initiatives. Influence, challenge and provide thought partnership and coaching to senior leaders and colleagues within the Corporate functions.
- Talent Acquisition Leadership Lead and optimize the talent acquisition strategy for both salaried and hourly roles. Identify trends and opportunities to enhance recruitment processes, champion a best-in-class candidate experience, enhance employer brand and drive sourcing initiatives to attract diverse top talent, and optimize recruitment process to shorten time-to-fill. Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing talent acquisition team, setting clear objectives, delivering feedback, and motivating them to achieve ongoing professional and career growth.
- Drive organizational effectiveness by leading the design and optimization of structures, processes, and systems that enhance collaboration, performance and continuous improvement across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Lead and enhance talent management and performance management processes to optimize employee engagement and development. Help leaders with workforce planning, career pathing, developing high performers and addressing lower performers.
- Employee Engagement and Retention: Partner with HR functions to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development strategies. Utilize feedback and analytics to inform HR initiatives aimed at improving the overall employee experience.
- Manage employee relations through effective conflict resolution, open communication channels, and striking the right balance between employee needs and business objectives.
- Metrics and Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to assess recruitment performance, set benchmarks, and drive decision-making. Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to talent acquisition and workforce planning and other initiatives and strategies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Human Resources at companies renowned for the quality of their people and their processes. At least 5 years of experience leading talent acquisition teams.
- Demonstrated business impact in both large and medium sized companies. We value candidates with a history of stability and commitment in their previous roles.
- Proven track record in leading recruitment efforts for both salaried and hourly roles. Talent acquisition in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong capabilities in change management, strategic thinking, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strong influencing, facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to confidently interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Excellent coaching and mentorship skills, with a passion for developing high performing teams and individuals.
- Deep knowledge of HR and TA best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a focus on metrics and performance improvement.
- Thrives in a fast moving and dynamic environment while also having exemplary work ethic, follow-up and execution skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to perform all duties effectively in both in-office and remote environments are required.
- Travel to different job sites may be necessary
