Our Finance teams help drive the company forward by partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support the growth of and optimization of our network; driving controllership, innovation, productivity, and cost-effective operations across the North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Organization. Our team is dedicated to working closely with Senior NACF Finance and Business leadership team to drive insight into business performance and formulate the medium and long term financial and strategic plans for our organization.
This role will be a key leader for NACF Capex FP&A, a complicated and dynamic multi-billion-dollar network that is focused on driving the dual charter of lower cost and faster delivery. We are seeking a Finance Manager who can understand the macro level strategic ideas and its impact on the micro level activities. A few of our key partners include Supply Chain, Capital Planning/Governance, Real Estate, Engineering, and Construction management teams.
The successful Finance Manager candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable balancing a detail-oriented environment with the ambiguity of fast-paced buildings, retrofits, and initiatives. The Finance Manager needs to be able to work well with cross-functional teams, must possess unlimited curiosity, and have a strong passion for continuous improvement. The candidate should also have demonstrated an ability to influence Finance and business leaders, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. Given the high level of visibility, the candidate should have strong communication (both written/verbal) at a senior executive level, a strong sense of ownership, and a proven record of earning trust.
Key job responsibilities
- Use financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements
- Provide strategic insights and tactical guidance to key stakeholders, ensuring understanding and timeliness of financial deliverables while partnering to deliver cost savings and business optimizations
- Lead high-impact planning processes for NACF Capex, the largest business unit in Amazon Operations, for both short-term and long-term planning, serving as a subject matter expert
- Craft compelling financial communications that highlight financial performance, risks, and opportunities for Senior Business and Finance leaders through monthly/quarterly financial reviews, forecasting
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including simplification and automation of key FP&A processes, enhancing efficiency for internal and external partners in partnership with the S&A team
- Positively contribute to work/life harmony on your team through seeking, valuing, and leveraging diverse perspectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
