Job Description:

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a member of the JBLM MTC at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA. This MTC provides training support to I Corps, 7th ID, and JBLM units. GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career. Positions include MTC Leadership Roles, Operations, Administration, Facilities, Logistics, and Technical (Cyber Security/RMF, Networking, Simulations, and Mission Command Information Systems). This is an open requisition for a new contract at JBLM. If GDIT wins the contract, we expect to start new performance in July 2025.

Opportunities include:
  • Operations primarily consist of daily events and exercise planning IAW the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC).
  • Administration handles both GDIT Team processes and coordination with Training Units.
  • Facilities is responsible for the multiple buildings associated with the MTC complex.
  • Logistics is responsible for Government Furnished Equipment and Property Accountability; Shipping and Receiving equipment throughout the region; and routine sustainment functions. The technical fields require both managers and technicians.
  • Cyber Security/RMF/ISSO ensures all technical equipment stays current on updates, patches, STIGs, etc., to meet ATC/ATO requirements.
  • Networking conducts both internal networking for the MTC as well as distributing networks.
  • Simulations performs all system functions for SIM-STIM connectivity.
  • MCIS provides training to Soldiers IAW TRADOC school house standards, ETPs, and over-the-shoulder training during exercises and other events.


All of these functions are focused to ensure Training Unit Commander (TUC) Training Objectives (TO) are achieved at every training event. This JBLM Task Order expands on GDITs capabilities which currently supports 15 Active Duty Army MTCs.

What you will need to succeed:
  • Education:
    • Degrees vary from High School Diploma through Bachelors Degree (and beyond), and some specialized technical training. Some positions require MEL 4 (or equivalent) education.
  • Required Experience:
    • Positions require varying degrees of MTC and military experience; including, but not limited to, Army leadership, staff, training, technical, and simulation experience.
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • There are varying requirements for each position and functional areas, as defined by the program work statement.
  • Security Clearance Level:
    • All positions require a Secret, TS, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI w/poly.
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Varying requirements as outlined by the program work statement.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • There are many preferred skills for this contract. Here are some examples, but not limited to, MEL 4 (or equivalent) education, IAT/IAM-I/II, Sec+, CASP, CCNP, CCNA, experts in Army training and MCIS instructors. Army command and leadership positions.
  • Location: All positions are on-site at JBLM, WA

The likely salary range for this position is $68,289 - $92,391. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
