Job Overview:

LPL Financial is seeking an experienced IT Vendor Relationship Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will build, maintain, and enhance relationships with strategic IT vendors and internal partners and seek opportunities to optimize non-strategic vendors. As a Vendor Manager, you deliver expertise towards management of contracts, enforce vendor standards, and influence the selection and alignment of best vendors to work functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead vendor governance, minimize value leakage, improve innovation, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, financials, and relationships.
  • Establish, prioritize, and track strategic business requirements, communicating them to vendors and internal partners.
  • Support internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to technology partners.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Establish and monitor vendor standards and guidelines.
  • Serve as a contract usage and pricing expert for assigned vendors.
  • Advise technology leaders on contract levers affecting forecasting and budget planning.
  • Collaborate with Procurement on benchmarking and pricing negotiations.
  • Lead the tech side of RFI/RFP processes with Procurement.
  • Execute vendor off-boarding plans.
  • Resolve escalation issues with technology leaders.
  • Identify and mitigate vendor risks, including compliance risks.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years managing complex IT contracts and relationships in infrastructure, network, cloud, or single-vendor outsourcing
  • 3+ years managing a large IT vendor with multiple service offerings and SLAs.
  • Knowledge of vendor methodologies, market trends, pricing models, and service delivery
  • Strong analytical, dispute resolution, and mediation skills


Preferences:
  • Experience with RFP development and analysis.
  • Expertise in SLA development.
  • Productive edge and willingness to engage in conflict when necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Category expertise in one or more subjects e.g. Cloud Computing, Information Security, SaaS, AI, etc.

Pay Range:
$100,913-$168,188/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
