Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for specific projects. This role requires a strong focus on production quality and ensuring that all construction activities comply with design specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing construction projects, particularly for government agencies, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily field activities to ensure on-time project completion and adherence to schedule.
  • Interpret, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ensure all construction complies with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, and meets quality standards.
  • Implement the construction portion of assigned projects through day-to-day direction of all field activities.
  • Oversee all job site activities and maintain compliance with safety and quality protocols.
  • Maintain several projects simultaneously, complying with strict safety, quality, and technical protocols.
  • Generate various construction reports pertaining to safety and quality.
  • Complete daily documentation of work and understand subcontractor scope to avoid unnecessary change orders.
  • Identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in commercial construction as a superintendent.
  • Current QCM certification.
  • EM-385 certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • USACE CQM certification.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, tiling, landscaping, doors & windows, and other architectural finishes.
  • Ability to work closely with people of diverse backgrounds and levels of authority.
  • Computer literate with the ability to generate construction reports.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized and result-oriented.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working on projects for government agencies in the Great Lakes region is preferred.
  • Ability to provide references to support work history.
  • Eligible to legally work in the US or hold US citizenship.

The job-site is located at Dahlgren Airforce Base in Virginia. This position involves a mix of office/trailer work and outdoor activities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
