The development of new TIMS based methods for analysis of purified radioisotopes will be a key area of the research, which may involve the use and assessment of specialized mass spectrometry instrumentation and detector technology. The methods developed have applications in nuclear forensics, environmental studies related to fate and transport of radioactive isotopes, and other areas in support of national security. Candidates must be willing and able to work within an interdisciplinary team of scientists from multiple organizations within LANL. The selected candidate will be expected to present their research work at national/international conferences as well as in relevant journal publications.
