Your Role
The Digital and Marketing Member Experience team builds and maintains our Member-facing Digital applications. The Member Mobile Application Developer - Consultant Level will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Applications. In this role you will be part of the Mobile Applications Platform Team that is accountable for delivering the team's desired business outcomes as prioritized in the Digital Products backlogs. You will develop and manage the technology components of the Products to meet business requirements while also providing insights and innovations to improve utilization, reduce technical debt and reduce total cost of ownership of the Products technology ecosystem.

Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop user interfaces, application programs using the technical specifications and design documents
- Recommend improvements to the SDLC and other departmental processes
- Improve the reliability and utilization of systems and applications
- Monitor software configuration changes to anticipate and address the impact of data reliability and customer satisfaction issues
- Coordinate sustaining support for 1-2 application platforms or business processes
- Provide technical leadership and quality management of the mobile application within and across teams
- Plan and execute lifecycle management activities to ensure our mobile applications remain current across the technical stack, including 3rd party SDKs
- Identify and propose solutions for improving team efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide insights and recommendations to the mobile platform roadmap
- Partner with Business and UX to optimize the technical benefits available on the mobile platform
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires 4 years of mobile development experience in Android (Java or Kotlin)
- Good understanding of Objected Oriented Analysis and Design concepts and good experience with Android SDK, Android Studio development tools
- Experience implementing integrations using RESTful web services, working with authentication and authorization frameworks/protocols (OAuth/SAML)
- Good experience with MVC/MVVM/MVP design patterns and programming technologies like Java, Kotlin, Objective C, and Swift
- Understanding of Google's Android design principles, Jetpack libraries, and interface guidelines
