Overview

Piston Automotive is seeking an IT Plant Manager for our Marion, OH facility. The IT Plant Manager is responsible for the management all activities related to the local Plant. The key areas of responsibility include infrastructure, manufacturing software, and business. This position will be a key member of the Plant Leadership Team with integral role in supporting the continuous improvement of the business and local plant culture.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all IT Software and Hardware is operational during Plant Production hours.
  • Data integrity for all system integration between Piston Automotive, our customers, suppliers, IT systems and Shop Floor equipment
  • Manage budget, requisitions and invoicing for plant related IT expenses
  • Provide direct supervision for IT Plant Support Specialist assigned to respective plant
  • Manages the third-party maintenance for network, hardware, software, and telecommunications services
  • Prepare plans for applications, physical infrastructure and the acquisition of the necessary resources to support these items and assure responsiveness of the plans relating to corporate objectives
  • Manages installation of hardware and software by others
  • Manage provisioning of end user workstations/laptops based on corporate standards.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an IT Manager role in a Manufacturing Facility
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the Automotive Industry
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience training and developing direct reports
    • 4 years of experience managing a budget, writing Requisitions for IT Hardware & Software
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience working with cross-functional teams
    • A minimum of Four years of experience with the following technical skills:
      • Structured Query Language (SQL) : Ability to write complex Read, Update and Insert Statements
      • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
      • Working with Part Numbers and Bills of Materials (BOMS)
      • Traceability Data Collection and Data Management
      • Adhering to Barcode Label Specifications for Finished Good Labels and Rack Labels
      • Microsoft operating systems and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
      • Supporting PCs, Displays, Zebra Printers & Scanners on Plant Floor
      • Server Maintenance : Patching & Rebooting
      • Active Directory Account Management
      • Managing networks & networking equipment in Plant and Office environment
      • VMWare
      • Network Storage systems
      • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

    PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    Familiarity with:
    • Build & Shipping to Broadcast/Sequence and Batch
    • Kepware
    • ZPL (barcode label language)
    • Integration of MES to PLCs / Control Networks
