We are hiring for a Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy to join our growing team!

Job Description

The Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy will play a pivotal role in helping shape the strategic direction and long-term planning process at National Vision. This newly established role requires a dynamic leader who is well-versed in strategic planning and can drive corporate and business development initiatives, establish robust processes and foster collaboration across departments and with senior executives. This role, which reports directly to the Chief Legal & Strategy Officer, will give you direct exposure to the executive team and contribute to our overall strategy and help drive its successful execution.

What Would You Do? The Specifics.
  • Strategic and Long-Range Planning
  • Coordinate development and implementation of the strategic planning and long-range planning process to drive business growth and achieve company goals.
  • Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative analyses on emerging trends and potential disruptions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives, identifying potential risks and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics to senior management.
  • Business & Corporate Development
  • Evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic investment opportunities aligned with our strategic plan.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes, assist in negotiations, and participate in the overall execution of transactions.
  • Develop and help execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Conduct strategic and competitive analysis to identify potential new business opportunities.
  • Process Establishment: Develop and implement processes to ensure effective collaboration and communication across departments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior leaders, the board of directors, and external parties to align strategic initiatives and ensure successful execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of strategic initiatives.


Qualifications

Work Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, business/corporate development, or related to. (Required)

Education
  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field. (Required)
  • Master's Degree (Preferred)

Additional Skills
  • Proven experience in business development / M&A, including due diligence and integration. (Required)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. (Required)
  • Self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments (Required)
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions, coupled with strong financial acumen. (Required)
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills. (Required)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. (Required)
  • Create and present compelling business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions. (Required)
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor the progress and impact of strategic initiatives. (Preferred)
  • Excel and PowerPoint excellence. (Required)
  • Experience in the optical retail industry. (Preferred)
  • Utilize strategic thinking and modeling to analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and business performance. (Required)
