What we're looking for in a Nondestructive Evaluation Engineer
To thrive as a Nondestructive Evaluation Engineer at MRI Technologies, you'll need a robust skill set that intersects technical expertise and industry awareness. A minimum B.S. degree in science or engineering from an accredited university is essential, backed by 5-10 years of relevant industry experience. While formal education in nondestructive evaluation is desirable, practical training and experience will also prepare you for success. Familiarity with both metallic and nonmetallic materials, including their manufacturing processes such as welding and additive manufacturing, is crucial.
You'll engage with fracture control and materials compatibility-skills necessary for assessing aerospace systems. Previous experience supporting NDE development for NASA and/or Aerospace projects will set you apart. Active participation in technical forums like Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings will ensure you're equipped to address issues effectively. If you possess ASNT level 3 certification, it's a plus, but not a requirement.

- Previous experience supporting NDE development, test, and evaluation activities for NASA and/or Aerospace projects
- Familiar with metallic and nonmetallic materials and their manufacturing processes, which include welding, additive manufacturing, composite fabrication and repair
- Familiar with fracture control, materials compatibility, and design allowable for aerospace systems such as aircraft and spacecraft structures and their associated Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and systems.
